Star Jones fesses up: it wasn't pilates or slim fast shakes...

Ya gotta wonder if Star Jones had been this forthcoming about her obvious gastric bypass surgery while she was still on "The View," she might still have a job on the daytime talkfest. Her decision to be evasive over how she lost 160 pounds made her seem inauthentic as she was sharing every detail of her wedding.
Anyway, bygones. We had Rosie for awhile, we are likely getting Whoopi and Sherri and, ugh, we still have Elisabeth "George Bush is God" Hasslebeck. Star is having a new start with a new show on Court TV and as part of that, she has written a candid essay for Glamour magazine sharing why she wasn't upfront about the elephant in the room:
"I admit that when asked about my obvious weight loss over the past four years, I was intentionally evasive. Lying was never an option for me, so I called it a 'medical intervention,' which was true, but it was really a pathetic attempt to tell only the truth I could handle at the time."
"I was afraid to be vulnerable, and ashamed at not being able to get myself under control without this procedure," she writes in the magazine.
Well, the truth has set her free!
