Honestly, Chris Evans is TRYING to keep his clothes on...

Hey, clothes on, clothes off, Chris Evans is a looker. But he's also an actor who wants to be known for more than his studly body which we love seeing in various movies and photo spreads. GQ chose Evans to model Tom Ford’s new men’s collection in its September issue, on stands Aug. 20, according to Planet Gossip's Marc Malkin.
Evans, whose next film is "The Nanny Diaries," is apparently tryingf to limit his skin-baring screen time: “I took it off for the first Fantastic Four,” Evans tells writer Mickey Rapkin about going shirtless. “Then I read the script for the sequel. It’s like, 'Why am I getting out of the shower in this scene?' ”
Evans says he tried lobbying director Tim Story to cut the shower scene: “I had two conversations with the director about it,” he says. “He’s like, ‘You’re right. You’re right.’ Then it wasn’t discussed. Then a month before we started shooting, it’s back in. I can only believe that this career is a marathon, not a sprint. I’ll have time to wash my credibility clean and get some clothes on.”
Do you HAVE to? It seems Matthew McConaughey tried to go that route after his big splash in "A Time to Kill" with such follow-up as "Amastead" and "Contact" but we were so happy when he started taking it off again in such hits as "Failure to Launch," "How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days" and his upcoming surfer flick.
Greg Hernandez has covered the entertainment industry for the Daily
News since 2001. He's considered a bit odd by some for his obsession
with box office numbers, has been known to camp out near the kitchen
at premieres for first crack at the hors d'oeurves, and Greg's never
seen a red carpet he didn't want to stroll down.
