Out In Hollywood Mailbox...
I get letters and e-mails, most nice, some not-so-much. Here are some of the more recent and, I swear, I don't make these things up!
TAMMY FAYE TRIBUTE
Thank you for covering the Tammy Faye. I just saw it on your site – thank you! We were really moved by the comments of our members. I printed out all of them from both message sections and they were just so ….touching.
Thanks again, Greg!

GREG SAYS: Thank YOU for giving those who grieve Tammy Faye a forum on which to express it.
OUTFEST KUDOS...
Greg-
I just wanted to drop you a line and tell you how much I love your site. I've been following it daily and I feel like I was right there at Outfest. You do an amazing job. Keep it up!!
xoxo

GREG SAYS: My absolute pleasure!
FED UP WITH OUTEST...
Greg:
I am certain you had a great time mixing it up with the stars and directors at Outfest, but, geez, enough! With all that is happening in our great big world, there must be something else compelling to write about.
You are doing your readers a disservice, ultimately, by focusing on this one fairly exclusive media gathering to the exclusion of everything else. I don't live in Los Angeles. I don't live in New York City either. I look to industry bloggers like you to get an overview of gay happenings, and not endless encomiums to people who might be considered brave to participate and who themselves would agree they don't necessarily deserve all the ink you've given them for, what, weeks?

GREG SAYS: I totally disagree with you. But thanks for reading and sharing your view.
MORE OUTFEST LOVE...
Dear Greg,
Thank you for your wonderful article about my film, We're All Angels. It was so kind of you to write such an insightful piece on the film. It's the best I've read about it yet! I'm so glad we crossed paths on Tuesday night.
I look forward to seeing you at more Outfest events and beyond!
Best wishes,
Robert
GREG SAYS: Thanks for your wonderful work....I hope many people see it.
Greg,
I just came across your Outfest article and review of "Shelter" in which you also mentioned my film, "Back Soon," as one of your faves. I want to thank you for the mention and say how glad I am that you enjoyed the film! It can be difficult for unknown filmmakers to break through the clutter of films at a festival like Outfest, so I really appreciate your support.
-Rob
GREG SAYS: I really appreciate your film!
"EAST SIDE STORY" THANKS...
Yesterday's screening of "East Side Story" was a huge success. Audience loved the movie. Thank you for
putting the word out -- a number of people I met at the screening said they'd heard about it from reading your "Out in Hollywood" blog.
Best,
Carlos
GREG SAYS: "East Side STORY" is a great film and Carlos Portugal a wonderful writer and director.

FAN OF BIG BROTHER'S NICK...
WOW! That Nick guy is HOT. And I love the hints he keeps giving that he's into guys. It won't be long before he hooks up on this show..... KEEP US POSTED!!! Thanks for the video links!

GREG SAYS: Nick certainly is pretty...but in the brains department, notsomuch.
GRAMMAR P:OLICE
Greg,
I love your blog, but you have NO excuse for not using spellcheck and grammar check on ALL your postings. I've counted at least six typos and mispelled words in your blog today. Please proof this stuff before you post it to such a wide audience.
Thank you and sincerely,
- Bob
GREG SAYS: Thanks for the note...but chill out man! Yer killin' me!

GREG SAYS: Thanls for your kindness...
BACHELOR ANDY INQUIRY...
HI Greg,
I read your column on the Internet about meeting Andy Baldwin at the ABC press tour party. Can you tell me the date that you met him and where the event took place? Did Andy mention exactly when Tessa was moving to Hawaii with him? Is Andy here in the states helping Tessa move her things or was he here for a special event? I saw pictures of him circulating the Internet cycling in Venice Beach with his Speedo. Lots of criticism going around. I wish people would leave him alone so he can enjoy his love relationship with Tessa. He looks like a genuine guy and doesn't come off gay at all. Whatever is said, he's a wonderful, talented, athletic, good looking, intelligent person serving our country as a Naval officer and a medical doctor!
Please respond,
Andy Baldwin Fan
GREG SAYS: I met Andy at an ABC press party in Beverly Hills on July 26. As for the rest of your questions, I do not know. And since I am not much help to you, I am posting this photo especially for you!

Greg Hernandez has covered the entertainment industry for the Daily
News since 2001. He's considered a bit odd by some for his obsession
with box office numbers, has been known to camp out near the kitchen
at premieres for first crack at the hors d'oeurves, and Greg's never
seen a red carpet he didn't want to stroll down.

Enjoyed your in-depth coverage of OutFest! Excellent work.
The thing I love about blogs, if its something I'm not interested in, I just hit the next button.
