Deborah Gibson rooting for Neil Patrick Harris at Emmys...
It's been four years since Deborah Gibson co-starred with Neil Patrick Harris in the Broadway production of "Cabaret." "I can recall very specific moments of having meltdowns. But I had people around me that took that very seriously and said, 'Let's pull the plug for a minute.' "It seems like the media is demanding that these young girls be seen, seen seen. God forbid if you're not at the hot club every weekend, as if being in the business is related to going clubbing. Thank God it wasn't that way when I was a kid. That's what this generation is up against."
"I also didn't live in Hollywood and I think that's key... Also the problem now is that people want to be famous for being famous and they don't have a love of a craft that keeps them grounded and keeps them going. If you don't have that center, I don't know what you have to grab onto in tougher times."
