Sherri Shepherd to join "The View"

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasherri.jpgThe Los Angeles Times is reporting what I predicted yesterday: Sherri Shepherd will be the fifth panelist on "The View," filling the spot left vacant when Star Jones was fired more than a year ago.
I think it's great!
She's funny and fresh and she and Whoopi Goldberg bring some much-needed divsersity to a panel that now includes Goldberg, Joy Behar, the annoying Elisabeth Hasselbeck and the show's producer, Barbara Walters. Walters had said on yesterday's show that the fifth co-host would be named on Monday but how could Baba Wawa expect such a thing to be kept under wraps???
