J.K. Rowling revealed this Friday night during a book signing after a young fan asked if Dumbledore finds true love.
Answered the author: "Dumbledore is gay."
Te response from the audience? Gasps and applause.
According to the Associated Press, Rowling said Dumbledore was infatuated with rival Gellert Grindelwald, who was later offed in a battle between the good and bad wizards.
"Falling in love can blind us to an extent," she said of Dumbledore's feelings. The author added that Dumbledore was "horribly, terribly let down" and that his love was a "great tragedy."

Gellert Grindelwald wasn't killed in his duel with Dumbledore. Dumbledore won the duel and Grindelwald was imprisoned in Eisengard. He was later killed by Voldemort in "The Deathly Hallows" when Voldemort came looking for the Elder Wand. That's probably too much information though.
