Hillary Clinton visits "The View"
I just HAD to watch "the View" this morning since Sen. Hillary Clinton was stopping by. I thought she knocked it out of the park, just came off so smart, so at ease. Elisabeth Hasselbeck just sat off to the side, almost entirely silent as Clinton said "We desperately need some changes - that seems to be accepted." She said, if elected, she will begin to carefully withdraw troops from Iraq and try and rebuild America's standing in the world.
"The era of cowboy dipomacy is over, we're going to listen again."
Of Al Gore winning the Nobel Peace Prize: "I'm thrilled he won the Nobel Peace Prize...absolutely thrilled. Maybe now, when I'm president, we can get something done on global warming."
If I were Elisabeth Hasselbeck, I would be sitting there thinking: "How could I have put my cart behind the wrong horse all these years? How could I have gone to that state dinner and cozied up to the president at the White House? How could I have supported an administration that has its priorities all wrong and done so much harm to our country?"
But instead, she was probably sitting there thinking: "I hate that bitch."
Prior to the Clinton segment, Hot Topics were amusing as the ladies talked a bit about Ann Coulter's recent comments about Jews needing to be "perfected" by Christians.
Whoopi Goldberg: "I don't want to get into an ugly spat with her...I'm never going to understand her....Who the hell is this woman> Who is she?"
Barbara Walters: "She wants an ugly spat because she wants to sell more books."
Joy Behar: "I can't stand her...This is a woman who thinks 'Schindler's List' is a comedy."
Greg Hernandez has covered the entertainment industry for the Daily
News since 2001. He's considered a bit odd by some for his obsession
with box office numbers, has been known to camp out near the kitchen
at premieres for first crack at the hors d'oeurves, and Greg's never
seen a red carpet he didn't want to stroll down.
Comments
When I see Hillary talk like this, I think "she is so well-spoken" but then I think of what you wrote about her "equality" where she's for gay rights so long as we cannot marry... and just have to wonder about her true agenda.
Thanks for sharing this clip.
