Larry "I've never been gay" Craig and wife to give interview to Matt Lauer...
Oh, the poor wife.
Larry Craig is gonna trot out his long-suffering wife, Suzanne, for an interview with Matt Lauer to be televised next week. This is his first interview since his arrest for toe-tapping in an airport restroom. I'll be interested to hear what the wife, who seems like the loyal political spouse type, will say - if anything. Is her denial genuine or is she simply living out her part of the arrangement and enjoys being a senator's wife?
Many of Craig’s Senate Republican colleagues have been pressuring Craig to resign after his June 11 in a men’s restroom at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Craig said he would and now has changed his mind.
He had pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of disorderly conduct after an undercover officer said he exhibited behavior consistent with that of someone seeking a sexual encounter. Craig insists it was misunderstanding and unsuccessfully sought to withdraw his plea last week.
I gotta have faith that Matt will ask this guy and his wife the tough questions but I doubt that a man who has been living this kind of life of lies will give many honest answers.
