Lesbian couple - both ministers - to compete on "Amazing Race"

.aamazingrace.jpgIt's already the 12th edition of CBS' "Amazing Race," the best reality show on television with the Emmys and the ratings to prove it. What I like most is that more often then not, there is a same-sex couple among the participants and this season will be no exception.
Kate Lewis and Pat Hendrickson are Lesbian Episcopal Clergy from Thousand Oaks who are eager for the adventure of a lifetime. Kate is 45 and Pat is 65.
I'll be rooting for them as the show sends 11 teams - each comprised of two people who have a pre-existing relationship - on a trek around the world for approximately 30 days. At every destination, each couple will compete in a series of challenges, some mental and some physical. Only when the tasks have been completed will they learn their next destination. Couples who are farthest behind will gradually be eliminated as the contest progresses, with the first team to arrive at the final destination winning $1 million.
