Meredith Viera's oddly phrased "Brokeback" question to Jake Gyllenhaal...
Did Meredith Viera think she was still on "The View" this morning? "The Today Show" co-host was interviewing Jake Gyllenhaal about his new film "Rendition" and also asked him about "Brokeback Mountain," the film which resulted in his first Academy Award nomination.
But her phrasing of the question just resulted in the while thing falling apart:
Meredith: "Did you have any idea what you were sitting on so to speak?"
Jake: "Very well put."

OK, so "what you were sitting on" is awkward. But what about her other options: "what you were in for," "what you had your hands on," "what you were doing..."
There are very few ways to put that question that wouldn't have been problematic....
