Brothers & Sisters: Are Kevin and Scotty really back together?

.broandsis.jpgOh, great. We finally - after about a year of waiting - get another Scotty and Kevin kiss only to have most of it obscured by Kevin's arm. What is the point of THAT? Granted, if it had been Kitty and Robert kissing, I might not have noticed or cared that part of the kiss was blocked. But we get so few kisses between our favorite gay characters so when they do lock lips, we want to see it!

Dammit.

But otherwise, it's so cool to see intimate scenes between Kevin (Matthew Rhys) and Scotty (Luke MacFarlane) who are so cute together. Scotty brought home lobster and champagne from a party he catered, they fell asleep on the couch together still wearing the lobster bibs (nice touch) then start making out and then they slept together. But we only saw half a kiss.

Scotty downplays the hook-up: "I was a warm body after lobster." He wants to run - either he really does want to respect Kevin's relationship with the far-away Jason (Eric Winter) or he wants to protect himself - so he's packing when Kevin later announces that he has broken up with Jason.
Scotty: "Why do you always have to be such a drama queen?"
Kevin acknowledges that their past has been messy but says: "I want to be back there with you. Easy isn't all it's cracked up to be."

Kevin invited Scotty to Kitty and Robert's wedding so we'll see what happens then. In this scene below, we can see Kevin's frustration when Robert (Rob Lowe) mentions that he's talked to his brother twice in recent days while Kevin has not received a call in weeks. He says to the senator: "The next time you two chat, maybe you can tell him his committed, monogomaus, highly sought-after boyfriend said hi."

Ouch. Next thing we know, he's hooked up with Scotty. I love the scene I've posted because it is Sally Field at her most charming as she recalls how she lost her virginity. As she tells the story to all of the Walker kids, Kevin says: "Mom, you slut!"
