Lily Tomlin speaks out in support of writers...
The great Lily Tomlin was among the famous faces who walked picket lines this week in support of the Wrtiers Guild of America who are battling producers for a bigger share of DVD and new media revenue.
"The writers deserve their fair share of the pie and that's all there is to it," Tomlin said. "...We're nothing without good words. We're nothing."
Well said.

Greg Hernandez has covered the entertainment industry for the Daily
News since 2001. He's considered a bit odd by some for his obsession
with box office numbers, has been known to camp out near the kitchen
at premieres for first crack at the hors d'oeurves, and Greg's never
seen a red carpet he didn't want to stroll down.

Thankfully a lot of celebrities are using their clout to support writers. Writers are the most important part of any production. Without a story, you have nothing.
