If you're 19 and you tongue a male friend and take nude pics of yourself with a cellphone does that make you gay? Or Bi?
Toronto Maple Leaf rookie Jiri Tlusty insists that it does not. Once the pictures surfaced online (they always do), the player told a Canadian gossip site that published the photos that "I am not gay or bi nothing."
He released a more formal statement on Tuesday: "I used poor judgment in this instance last season and I have learned a valuable lesson. It will not happen again and I have no further comment."
John Ferguson, general manager of the team, also issued a statement saying that Tuisty "made a naive mistake as a teenager. It's a lesson in how something private can easily become very public in the Internet age. Hopefully it's a lesson that other people will learn from as well."
The lesson? New media means anything you do can wind up in cyberspace so be careful!
