The problem with Elisabeth Hasselbeck...

Elisabeth Hasselbeck, just three days after giving birth to a son, called in to "The View" this morning to talk to the ladies about the blessed event. She said she will return to the show Jan. 6 and Whoopi promised to being her "a pump."

Sherri Shepherd asked Elisabeth how she was "liking the boobies." Hasselbeck said: "The chest is huge. Everytime I look at them, I think of you." After the pleasant chit-chat, Joy Behar mentioned that the show had "brought on another right-wing blonde."

She was Laura Ingraham, the conversative radio host and author. Here's where I realized why Elisabeth annoys me so much. She and Ingraham and her probably have the exact same views, but Ingraham discussed them as if they were her own, not like she was spouting someone else's rhetoric or trying to get invited to a White House state dinner to meet the Queen of England.

Things got lively during the show which was a full hour of "Hot Topics" and no guests. Ingraham went on and on about the culture etc. and she and Whoopi locked horns a bit. But you sensed it was two intelligent women who were up to the task. I didn't mind it so much at all and ideas were debated with a minimum of emotion but certainly with passion.

It was one of the better segments the show had had in awhile. I gotta add though, the studio audience - which goes nuts if they find out they are gonna get ANY kind of free gift - seemed less than thrilled when they were told they would all be getting a copy.
My guess is that a lot of 'em left them under their seats!
