"Broadway Backwards" event brings out our faves...

I'm set to chat with Lanie next week about her upcoming singing gig in LA at the Catalina. When I saw her last November at the unveiling of the Hollywood Walk of Fame star for the Screen Actors Guild, she did my favorite line from "Beaches" for me: "What are you? A camel?"

AfterElton.com has all sort of wonderful pictures from the event - an annual benefit concert in which the men of Broadway sing songs traditionally sung by women, and vice versa - so go there to see the entire shebang. It woulda been great to be there.

And finally, I'm not familiar with Tony Yazbeck or Aaron Lazar but this photo of them performing "A Boy Like That / I Have a Love" from "West Side Story" just seemed to bve screaming out: "Post me!"
