"New Amsterdam" gives us new TV hunk...
I'm not the only "American Idol" fan who kept the channel on FOX Tuesday night to catch the series premiere of "New Amsterdam." The main reason? The dude who plays the title character of John Amsterdam! He's Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and he's smokin' as you can see form these pics I found on Ohlala blog today.
He plays a New York homicide detective who is immortal.and has spent over three centuries of his life marked by loss as his friends gradually grow old and die while he is forced to remain alive. He is also a former alcoholic who regularly attends Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. The character has been sober since 1965.
