ATWT Recap: Annoying Ameera to Noah: "I'm your wife..."
Before I write about Friday's episode of "As the World Turns," I have to say that the preview shown for an episode next week really irked me: it shows Ameera kissing Noah! Okay, we know that boyfriend-stealing hussy wants him to be her REAL husband but how dare the show allow them to kiss when they are no longer letting Noah kiss Luke. It's almost enough for me to just boycott the damned thing.
But I will tell you why I won't. His name is Van Hansis and through all the irritating plot twists, he continues to turn in an Emmy worthy performance and never lets you forget that his character is a gay man in love with Noah. He lets us see his joy, his frustration, his lust. He makes it worth it.
"The situation with Noah is getting weirder every day," Luke tells his parents in the biggest understatement in daytime drama history. "I want to help Ameera, I really do. But I feel like I'm being banished from my boyfriend's life."
We then cut to the newlyweds and Ameera is waiting on Noah hand and foot and he says it is making him nervous. Ameera, no longer wearing her headscarf, purrs: "But I'm your wife."
Barf!
Here are the scenes from Friday:
Greg Hernandez has covered the entertainment industry for the Daily
News since 2001. He's considered a bit odd by some for his obsession
with box office numbers, has been known to camp out near the kitchen
at premieres for first crack at the hors d'oeurves, and Greg's never
seen a red carpet he didn't want to stroll down.

Hmm.
Wonder about the girl..........since she is supposed to be friends with Noah's dad, maybe this is some weird plot cooked up by the Colonel to try to steer Noah straight, an old fashioned trap or plot maybe?

Precisely! Psycho Dad always insisted that Noah forget Luke and marry a woman. She's an emmisary of Psycho Dad. Therefore she's NOT who she claims to be.
Look for a big REVEALTION soon.

She's working with the Colonel out of loyalty and compormise -a promise made to her mother- to the man that help them out survive in Iraq. The Colonel compels her to carry on with her family debt, so she's more a kind of a victim trying to satisfy a pledge. She's cornered with almost no alternative. Or to return to Iraq where her nationals hates her. Sort of. That's the story, she will end up embarrassed and posibly running away. But she meant no harm. Or at least, she tryed to make the minimun one. Will be a baby in the middle? May be. If there is one -and it would appear later- will be a baby girl, cause it's easier to make a couple of gay taking care a of a girl than a boy. And it's proven that ATWT is no bold enough. They just bark and withdraw.
