Will gay cowboy help "Big Brother" redeem itself this summer?

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,cowboy.jpgAt this time last year, I thought we were about to have the best season of "Big Brother" ever with a house that included two gay men and plenty of beefcake. It ended up being completely annoying mid-way through. Then, CBS made the ill-advised decision to have a winter version of "Big Brother" with a group of contestants even more vile than the summer crop. I stopped watching completely.

I have no plans, at this point, to watch the newest edition which starts next week. But I am encouraged that there is at least one out and proud gay contestant. He's a 35-year-old rodeo competitor named Steven Daigle from Dallas.

He's a geographic consultant by day and a champion bull rider in the gay rodeo circuit. Steven describes himself as spontaneous, outgoing and outrageous and his perfect romantic partner as strong and masculine, financially secure and smart.

Steven sees himself as being extremely good at reading people and then manipulating them into doing what he wants them to do. He feels he is unique and random and claims that everyone who meets him likes him.

We shall see.
