"Brokeback Mountain" came in first - by a nearly 2-1 margin - and rightfully so. That's a movie that never fails to move me and Heath Ledger's gut-wrenching performance was the absolute best of his tragically short career (yes, even better than "The Dark Knight").

I can't fiddle with the rest of the top five: "A Beautiful Thing," "Shelter," "Latter Days," and "Maurice."
