Ellen, Neil Patrick Harris and Melissa Etheridge among the stars raising money to fight cancer...

Nice to see some of the biggest gay and lesbian stars front-and-center over the weekend in the high-profile TV event to raise money in the fight against cancer. The live one-hour fundraiser "Stand Up to Cancer" aired on ABC, CBS, and NBC on Friday and Neil Patrick Harris was among the famous faces who participated.
Is it just me or is NPH just getting better and better looking?
Newlywed Ellen Degeneres is a bright spot at any event and it was great to see her join such stars as Sheryl Crow, Christina Applegate, Jennifer Aniston, Kirsten Dunst, Fran Drescher, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Masi Oka, America Ferrera, Lance Armstrong, Meryl Streep, Forest Whitaker, Charlize Theron, and Hilary Swank.
Probably the most dramatic appearance was that of Patrick Sawyze who has been battling pancreatic cancer. He is back at work on a TV series and maintaining a positive outlook.
Melissa Etheridge (below) is a breast cancer survivor and has been an inspiration with her openness and energy. Who can forget when, having lost her hair after chemotherapy, she took the stage at the Grammys - bald as a billiard ball - and sang her heart out.
