Matthew Mitcham is blonde, good looking, and an Olympic Gold Medalist who won the 10m diving competition in Beijing.

He's also an openly gay athlete who has not yet been offered a single endorsement deal in the weeks after his triumph, according to Outsports.com. But at least his native Australia is honoring him with a postage stamp.

Homophobia is still rampant in sports, clearly. Matthew was the only out male Olympian in the entire games! As far as endorsements go, it took Martina Navratilova (pictured below at the US Open over the weekend) decades to get decent gigs even though she was the number one tennis player in the world for so many years. But Martina is a wonderful role model who, despite the lost income, chose to live her truth.
