Video: The ladies of 'The View' butt heads over Sarah Palin...
Elisabeth Hasselbeck must have a glass of Republican Kool-Aid along with her orange juice in the morning so she can spout the party lines during the Hot Topics portion of the show. While she is obviously entitled to her opinion which she spouts out in the clip above, in the second clip (below), I think she crosses a line at the Republican National Convention:

Here's what's best about this clip of The View. Not the fact that Hasselbeck spews Republican Rhetoric with the frightening ease of the usual talking heads; not the fact that Walters is undermining her longstanding journalistic career every time she jumps into the cackling fray; not the fact that Joy Behar refers to Palin as Sarah, as if they had raised pigs together - or that she considers her safe of vocal criticism or scrutiny because she's a woman; not even the fact that Shepherd seems again totally out of her depth with this discussion, unable to make a complete, valid point, other than state the platitude that she now feels energized by the campaign. No none of that stands out in this clip more than Whoopie Goldberg's complete silence, which - in my opinion - is more telling than all the noise. Now, hopefully, the noise will subside soon, and we'll be able to hear intelligent conversation about the issues and the parties' platforms, rather than just reactions to and opinions of 8 second soundbites. I got the feeling by watching this clip this may be what Goldberg is also waiting for, and that she'll be more than happy to voice her opinion then.
