AIDS Walk Los Angeles raises nearly $3.2 million, sets attendance record...

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,AIDSWALK2.jpgThis is amazing news: More 30,000 people participated in this mornings AIDS Walk Los Angeles in West Hollywood and raised $3.158 million for AIDS Project Los Angeles and other AIDS organizations in Los Angeles County.

"Despite the economic downturn, today's attendance and total raised demonstrate that the Los Angeles community remains committed to raising funs to help those struggling with HIV/AIDS and to prevent new infections," the walk's founder and producer Craig R. Miller said in a statement.

The walk, now in its 24th year, has raised more than $63 million since its inception.
