Of all the original cast members from the long-running 1990s fave "Beverly Hills 90210," it is Garth who has kept the lowest profile personally while maintaining a high profile professionally. First on the sitcom "What I Like About You" then a fourth-place finish on last season's "Dancing With the Stars."

"A lot of people got to know me probably more than they knew," Jennie said this week of her experience on "Dancing." "I'm not a person who goes out very often, I sort of hide out in my home. So people got to know me in that sort of reality TV kind of way."

Garth, who is married to actor Peter Facinelli and has two children, has since reprised her role of Kelly Taylor on the CW's updated version of "90210." Kelly is now a single mother who works as a guidance counselor at her old high school.

Her participation on "90210" meant reuniting, for four episodes at least, with her former co-star Shannen Doherty. The two had famously had their differences during the early years of the show but this time around, were total pros.

"We're done working together," Garth said. "She's done on the show and I don't know when I'll see her again. But it did go well."

Her sitcom, "What I Like About You," was cancelled after four seasons on the former WB network but remains popular in reruns.

"People still think we're in production! It's crazy," she said of the show on which she and Amanda Bynes played sisters.

After playing for laughs on that show, Garth has welcomed the drama of "90210."

"It's good to be back at work," she said. "It's definitely good to be back on TV in a nighttime drama. I remember when I was doing a drama, I wanted to do a comedy so that's when I did 'What I Like About You.' Then when I was doing a comedy and I really missed doing drama. So now I'm able to go back and be serious and sink my teeth into stuff."
