,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,websites.jpgC'mon, is this what it has come down to? No matter what happens on Tuesday in regards to Proposition 8, people are still going to have to look at themselves in the mirror on Nov. 5.

The Advocate reports that federal authorities are investigating a cyber attack after websites campaigning against Florida and California's proposed gay marriage bans were hacked into on Wednesday night, preventing supporters from donating.

The denial-of-service attack appears to have been coordinated to affect California's NoOnProp8.com and Florida's No on Amendment 2 campaign at SayNo2.com, according to a press release.

Attackers did not acquire and secure information, Equality California executive director Geoff Kors said in a statement Thursday afternoon. He said that as of early Thursday, NoOnProp8.com was back up and able to accept contributions.
