"Noah's Arc: Jumping the Broom" is box office sensation in limited release...
This is fantastic news: NOAH'S ARC: JUMPING THE BROOM set box office records at theatres this weekend taking in a final $151,680 on just 5 screens. That's $30,336 per screen which has been reported as one of the best per screen averages this year for all films, studio blockbusters and indies alike. The film set the record for best narrative for a gay themed film for 2008 surpassing "Shelter" which opened earlier this year.
Logo is now in the process of quickly securing additional screens for second weekend.
"We're thrilled that Noah fans and newcomers to this story are packing theaters to see Logo's first feature film and the first theatrical release based on a gay TV series," said Lisa Sherman, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Logo. "The stellar box office for Noah's Arc: Jumping the Broom says as much about the intense loyalty of Noah's avid fan base as it does about ticket sales."
