Things to do: Oct. 12 Valley Pride event is almost here!

This sounds like a lot of fun! It's Valley Pride, a one-day festival at CBS Studio Center in Studio City on Sunday, Oct. 12.

The ads for the festival have been running for a few months in Frontiers and In Los Angeles magazines and feature the man behind Valley Pride, Paul Walters, and his husband Kevin Voecks who got married shortly after the California Supreme Court decision earlier this year.

And speaking of that, there's also a gay wedding element this year with dozens of special exhibitors to provide you with everything you need to plan your perfect wedding. Caterers, wedding planners, ceremony locations, cakes, florists, honeymoon planners, jewelers, limousines, musicians and entertainers, reception facilities, tuxedos and dresses, hair and make-up, party rentals, financial planners, invitations, officiants, photographers and videographers.

There will be speakers throughout the day who will discuss various facets of the ceremony, honeymoon, legal and financial planning plus special celebrity guest speakers.
