Queen Latifah addresses the gay rumors...

This is always a tricky thing. Of course it's any person's right - gay or straight, famous or not - to decide how much they want to discuss about their private life. It's so great to have big stars like Ellen DeGeneres, Rosie O'Donnell, Neil Patrick Harris, Lance Bass Portia de Rossi and now Clay Aiken out and proud and their careers have continued and in some cases thrived.

I don't know if Queen Latifah is gay or straight. But I do love her movies - especially "Living Out Loud," "Last Holiday," "Bringing Down the House," and "Chicago." She is promoting her latest movie, "The Secret Lives of Bees" and told the New York Times that she has no intention of discussing her sexuality: "I don't feel like I need to share my personal life, and I don't care if people think I'm gay or not," she said. "Assume whatever you want. You do it anyway."

She was asked about rumors of a romance with her female personal trainer: "I don't have a problem discussing the topic of somebody being gay, but I do have a problem discussing my personal life. You don't get that part of me. Sorry. We're not discussing it in our meetings."

Whether she's gay, straight or Bi, I wish Latifah the best.
