VP Debate: Biden and Palin on gay marriage...

| | Comments (0) |

I know the political realities and all but it is still beyond discouraging when both candidates have essentially the SAME view on legalizing same-sex marriage:

Palin: "I will tell Americans straight up that I don't support defining marriage as anything but between one man and one woman, and I think through nuances we can go round and round about what that actually means. But I'm being as straight up with Americans as I can in my non- support for anything but a traditional definition of marriage.

Biden: Barack Obama nor I support redefining from a civil side what constitutes marriage. We do not support that. That is basically the decision to be able to be able to be left to faiths and people who practice their faiths the determination what you call it.

The Advocate has an in-depth story on this particular issue that I recommend reading. Here is a LINK.

CNN POLL: Most pundits agreed that while Gov. Palin exceeded expectations, Sen. Biden demonstrated greater fluidity with the subject matter.

Early polls suggested that viewers agreed: CNN found debate watchers thought Biden won the night by a margin of 51% to 36%; CBS surveyed uncommitted voters who favored Biden 46% to 21% with 33% of them calling it a draw.
