MSNBC's Rachel Maddow on Warren pick: "Lose-lose situation for Barack Obama...
Rachel Maddow, an openly gay television commentator with her own show on MSNBC, did a commentary last night on the Rick Warren controversy. She points out that Barack Obama "did not invite Warren to his house, he invited him into ours." she called the decision to have the anti-gay Warren deliver the invocation at the inauguration "the first big mistake of his post-election politicking.

She is right. In life you learn that you can not always be good to everyone. No matter what you do. No matter what you don’t do. No matter where you stand or where you go. Always someone is going to hate you and say lies about you and so forth.
So you have to do the right thing, and the right thing is to make a commitment with what you think it’s right. This was no time for “bring everyone on the boat” even if they hate the boat and are willing to throw people off board. This was a time to say “I and my kind were hated and discriminated so now I want all the accepting people aside me”. That’s the attitude. If you invite hatred to have a place in you side, you condone it.
We will remember.
