The surprise same-sex marriage on the "Boston Legal" finale...
This is bizarro - especially in light of William Shatner's catfight with former "Star Trek" co-star George Takei over allegedly not being invited to his same-sex wedding. "Boston Legal" finished its five-year run last night on ABC. It won James Spader a pair of Emmys and Shatner one. The "bro-mance" between these two dudes was the heart of the show but their marriage is more in the "New Adventures of Old Christine" practical mode than romance.

Shatner may be clueless, idiotic, quixotic and just plain bigoted, but his ability to create yet another iconic character in the role of Denny Crane is to behold a supernatural force of hairpiece-wearing nature.
Wow. But why not? Not only sex is the reason to get married. In this case, no sex at all. What better way to show they really do what they want.
Obviously its a big joke for the finale, even if it is canon as it seems to be. Would love to know Takei's reaction. Don't doubt he's gonna take it with great humor.
