"Noah's Arc: Jumping the Broom" out on DVD Feb. 3...
Hooray!
Logo announced today that one of my favoriate movies from last year, "Noah's Arc: Jumping the Broom," will be out on DVD on Feb. 3. In addition to the movie, which focuses on the wedding of Noah (Darryl Stephens) and Wade (Jensen Atwood) and the DVD will include such brand-new special features as a "Making Of" featurette, deleted scenes, photo shoots and more. It will also be sold as a 2-pack with the film's soundtrack which has a lot of catchy tunes and two songs by Pheobe Snow who has a cameo at the end of the film.
In the movie, two years have gone by in the lives of the characters who we got to know during their two seasons on Logo. For his wedding at Martha's Vinyard, Noah invites his inner circle Alex (Rodney Chester), Ricky (Christian Vincent), Chance (Doug Spearman) and their significant others for a weekend wedding getaway. Drama ensues as one-by-one their relationships start to crack under the pressure of closer examination. Add to the mix Alex's crazy-making wedding prep, a closeted superstar rapper, a high-maintenance studio exec, and a surprise visitor and you've got a drama-filled feature length reunion.
"Broom" was directed by Patrik-Ian Polk from a script he co-wrote with John R. Gordon.
