My impromptu "Dante's Cove" marathon...

I got home from this "High School Musical 2" party the other night feeling entirely too wholesome. That was quickly remedied when I found waiting for me the entire third season of "Dante's Cove" waiting for me. I had already seen the first episode so put on episode 2 figuring I'd try and do one or two a day. Well, next thing I know, it's 2 a.m. and I have watched the remaining four episodes.
I am not going to do a plot recap because I don't want to spoil things and besides, no one does a better recap of this fun and sexy guilty pleasure than AfterElton.com. But I do have a few assorted observations.

First off: Even though Kevin (Gregory Michael) is pretty much being forced to be Bro's (William Gregory Lee) boyfriend, these two are HOT together. I love seeing them together and when they are, they are often wearing next to nothing. I also like Toby (Charlie David) and Adam (Jon Fleming) together and their love scene - after all the pent-up passion, was a scorcher. My small quibble is that Fleming did not pull off the kissing scene - he had that closed-mouthed, puckered lip thing going on which is not sexy and not realistic for a hot gay man making out with the love of his life. (As an aside, I'm loving Charlie David with the blondish hair, He has never looked more attractive and I love his performance. We all want a Toby in our lives).

Convincing love scenes are more apt to occur between the women because, well, most of the women who play lesbians - Michelle Wolff, Jill Bennett and Jenny Shimizu - ARE lesbians. I think there are plenty of gay actors out there - very attractive ones - who would be willing to perform convincing same-sex love scenes in season four.

And finally, the show's dueling divas: Grace (Tracy Scoggins) and Diana (Thea Gill). They are on fire! Diana is over-the-top fun and crazy in episode 5 and I admire Gill for really going out on a limb in those scenes. As for the delicious Scoggins, she elevates every scene she is in and this season, has added a tenderness we never saw before and she makes us believe Grace's journey in getting there.
And talk about odd couplings: Grace and Jensen Atwood's character have one helluva love scene and it better be: Grace is a 200-year-old virgin!
Not anymore.
And Jensen Atwood could NOT be hotter. Oh. My. Gawd.

Anyway, you have treats in store in the remaining episodes which air on here! Network.
