I have not seen this yet but wanted to give the David Decoteau film, "House of Usher" a shout out because here! TV finally sent me some images from the film which premiered on the .premium gay television network Friday as well as in theaters.

The movie is loosely based on the Edgar Allan Poe classic short story, The Fall of the House of Usher. Here's a synopsis: Victor Reynolds (Michael Cardelle) receives a desperate letter from his childhood friend and first love, Roderick Usher (Frank Mentier). Roderick, a notorious recluse, has not left the grounds of his hilltop mansion in many years. He is in bad health and he needs Victor's love and care to survive. However, after a series of bizarre and spooky events, Victor realizes that both his friend and the house have a dark past that no one has lived to uncover.

And if that doesn't get your attention, the photo below will!

I've never watched "Paradise Falls" but it was announced today that the here! TV show is returning for a second season so I'll check it out.. The show is set at Paradise Falls, a quaint little vacation spot nestled in the Canadian North Woods where there will be gay weddings, porno-shoots, creepy cults, missing bodies, Pride Day celebrations, racy couples, boys with boys, girls with girls, and, for those interested in politics, a local election filled with dirty tricks. Steamy love affairs, mysterious goings-on and surprising plot twists abound.

This season introduces Julie Brown ("Earth Girls Are Easy") as Mimi Van Lux, a vivacious gay porn director that uses the small mountain town as the setting for her latest film.

Here is a really funny clip:

Paradise Falls is now airing on here! Networks. Go to www.heretv.com/paradise_falls/about for more information and the first four episodes will soon be available for free viewing.

"The DL Chronicles" will return for a second season...

This is great news: here! TV has just announced that it will bring back the sexy anthology series "The DL Chronicles" for a second season. It will premiere on the network in late 2008 and feature 5 new episodes.

The series, recently nominated for a GLAAD Media Award in the category of "Outstanding Television Movie or Mini-Series," is the first television show to center on the "DL" phenomenon in the gay community. The DL (short for "down-low") refers to straight men of color who live their everyday lives as heterosexuals, often married to women, but engage in discreet gay sex and gay relationships on the periphery.

The show was created by Quincy Lenear and Deondray Gossett. The network describes the series this way: "...Not only sexy and provocative, but also offers a socially-conscious insight into the lines between sexuality and perceived socially acceptable behavior within the African-American community. It provides an unapologetic view of intimacy between men of color and explores these scintillating stories with honesty and integrity."

Among the stories told in the upcoming season are that which involve a high school student's newfound gay relationship and its effects on his homophobic father, a reverend who questions his sexual identity and religious beliefs upon meeting a handsome stranger, and an interracial love story about two guys from different sides of the tracks.
