Run for Her

Here is a column I wrote for today's paper on Kelli Sargent, a 29-year-old who founded ``Run for Her,'' a 5k run/friendship walk that benefits ovarian cancer research. Sargent, who prepped at Calabasas High, has helped the event raise $1.5 million in four years. She was inspired to found the race by her mom, who had ovarian cancer.

Pfff...it's VB. J/K...I really need to keep this blog going, but I rarely have the time with helping out on Kings, golf and UCLA blogs. I look forward to you and the gang keeping me honest on the UCLA blog this week. And the season-opening tailgate next season. My vote is for surf and turf.

The UBTA tries to stick with themes. We are reserving surf & turf for the Washington home game. Pacfic Northwest fare. But we'll keep you posted on the remainder of the season.

San Diego State... hmmm.. Maybe we can do Mexican food for the Aztecs? We'll figure something out.

Bring everyone! Ramona, Dillbeck, Dan Guerrero. Everyone is welcome!
