"We've only just begun.." Seriously. I promise I shall not only continue ruffling City Council's feathers but will be a political thorn in Mr. Bogaard's side. I'm going to turn Pasadena politics' on its one, non-deaf ear - for the good of the "rest of Pasadena". I still have a lot to fight for and there are plenty of people in Pasadena that still won't be represented by this next City Council. The fun is just starting. :-)

The runoff's suggest why Ranked Choice Voting or, as it is often known, Instant Runoff Voting would be a good move for the City. Would save thousands of dollars every year, and likely increase electoral participation -- instead of increasing election burnout . . .Instead of voting for ONE candidate, often times the lesser of two evils, we can vote for our 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices (or just a 1st choice, if one wants). Then, if your 1st choice would be out of any runoff, they look at the second choices for all those voters. In most of the races we are looking at, this could have decided the race without the need of an expensive runoff . . .
