There was a party

Still life with Church's chicken in margarita glass
It was a hot, sultry night, but thanks to all who attended my housewarming Friday ... it was a blast. There was enough said to fuel weeks worth of blogging!

Unfortunately my host's imperative precluded me from hearing the best political gossip, and I only caught some of the deep-dishing corners.

I had some cool schtuff to put up here over the weekend but the companion piece in print has yet to run.

UPDATED: I found my own personal Top-10 list as prepared by The Noticeable One:

I was going to blog about it but I decided not to because: a) It was YOUR party. b) I want to be able to be invited to future parties without people worrying "Is Proctor going to blog about this?"

What was that scoop on Steve Madison that everyone was talking about?
How he was rude to my girlfriend at the Affordable Housing Forum. Oh and the usual Maserati/slammin' 25 year old exotic dancer-looking girlfriend stuff.
My girlfriend is actually going to write an article about that for my site in a few weeks. I didn't know about it until long after the election...man, I wasted all that time picking on Robin :-(

I feel your vibe Aaron. I didn't vote for Robin because I believed all the crap in the paper. I have since met him and found him to be a straight up dude who seems to be real and well versed. I've never met Madison but from what I've heard and read, this guys a real jerk and a pathetic district representative.

you had better go meet the guy first Dave, you know where reading the paper and listenting to the talk got you last time...nothing like first-hand experience to figure someone out.

Everyone who knew Robin that contacted me said "He's really a nice guy..." and it turns out he is, and that it was just a big misunderstanding between him and I back in the day... I've never heard one nice thing about Steve Madison...

Madison has a nice car. That's one thing. Mike
And that chicken was brought by Gordo. NOT A JOKE.
