Change(s?) at City Hall

PASADENA -- As the City Council prepares to move forward with the controversy-steeped Heritage Square development tonight, Housing Division staff learned this morning that Housing Administrator Gregory Robinson has been reassigned to another job.
Robinson was one of several staff members involved on the administrative side of planning the redevelopment project at the corner of Fair Oaks Avenue and Orange Grove Boulevard.
City Manager Cynthia Kurtz did not return calls seeking comment, but the Public Affairs office on Monday faxed a letter sent Thursday to members of the City Council informing them of the change.
The letter provides no reason for Robinson's reassignment, but indicates Robinson "will be assigned to the City Manager's Office to lead a new initiative focused on strategies to leverage the City's affordable housing funds and provide more opportunities for creating affordable housing."
Calls to Robinson's office were referred to Assitant City Manager Brian Williams, and Housing staff said Robinson was on vacation this week.
Robinson did not immediately return a voicemail message left at his office Monday afternoon.
