Dumpgate clarification

| | Comments (4) |

None of the voluminous plenitude of furnishings will end up in a landfill, man-of-all-works-public Martin Pastucha just called to say. It will all be "salvaged or recycled." He's been getting calls all day. So have I.

Apparently "government waste" stories rank on the outrage-o-meter somewhere above neglected children and below abused animals.

horsepucky...they are throwing away perfectly good furniture that a local non-profit could have used and they got caught and so they do what the Kurtz Administration always does...they lie.

Pastucha is a liar. He says in your story that nothing is being thrown away but of course its all being thrown away. The fact that its going to be crushed by a metal salvage yard doesnt alter the fact that they are disposing of perfectly good furniture. It's another example of waste subsidized by out of control municipal greed.
