Chamber campaign in the making?

It's taboo to say something like this on the same day as a tragedy but ...

Pasadena has become such a destination city, people are driving from as far afield as Tujunga to jump to their deaths.

I appreciate that few sentences in this story are burdened down by unnecessary "police said" attributions.

Pasadena slogans: "Don't look, just leap." "Death, with Style" "Where History Kills" "We built this bridge, we built this bridge so you can jump." "Pasadena - we clean up blood off the streets real good." "Right to Die - the Pasadena Way" Pasadena - where fear meets pavement" "Pasadena - It's your life" "Pasadena - We feel your pain" "Pasadena - End your suffering" "Pasadena - Land of scenic drops" "Pasadena - Suicide City" "Pasadena - Desperation's Destination" "Pasadena - Come Murder Yourself" "Pasadena - Neighborhoods of Anguish" "Pasadena - What splatters here, doesn't stay here...it gets scraped up with a spatulua" "Pasadena - beware falling distraughts"
Hey it easy to make fun, but I heard the guy became suicidally distraught when he found out the Do'h Dah was publicly financed.
Pasadena- Make the arroyo less seco.
So is it called Murder-Suicide Bridge now?
The story makes it clear that it was merely an issue of mismarked parking spaces. As the SN story says: "[The man}parked the car alongside Pasadena's Colorado Street Bridge and plunged to his death. " Last time I looked, there was only air "alongside" the bridge. That's why its a bridge.
