Thank you, K-Todd! I was in the parade with the QUEEN so I didn't know what happened with the Thorny Rose thing. That's so funny. Kudos to Mr. Lusvardi, I think it's just fine that he didn't ride but I think it's great that he was recognized as someone who shakes up the status quo and brings attention to things we all need to think about. Hip hip Hizzah!

On a spur of the moment thing, I volunteered to be that chicken! Pierre, the driver, is a really nice guy and the car was really awesome. But that suit was so hot!

I was playing "Spot Miss H." but somehow didn't see you! Kudos on the chicken-ing Nicole, it was everything I could expect from a giant, costumed bird.

Lusvardi is too chicken for Doo Dah.

I'm sad I missed the parade as I would have loved to spot Miss H. :-)

Wayne Lusvardi is sooooooo 1980s voodoo economics and Lyndon Larouche hysteria. And sooooooo boring. The chicken was an improvement on the "real thing."

Wayne Lusvardi refused to ride in that car because the owner refused to cover it with Wayne's collection of human skulls.

So you don't like 1980's voodoo economics? So raising taxes helps the economy right? Measure D establishes a telephone and Internet tax of 8.28%...one of the highest in the state (most cities dont even have a telephone tax).

Wayne Lusvardi is waiting to ride in the Beijing '09 float with the Pasadena Family Values Coalition.

The Great Wall of China was originally created to keep Wayne Lusvardi out. It failed miserably.
Anonymous said:
Every month Wayne Lusvardi sends his unpaid electric bill back to the City of Pasadena and includes only a picture of himself. Wayne Lusvardi has not had to pay his electric bill, ever.

Which Anonymous? I think one of them makes sense.

"Really" by Tracy Lowe?? LOL

[Comment deleted for content.] Paraphrased: Anonymous employed a certain, crude anatomical reference intended to reflect poorly upon Wayne Lusvardi.

If Lusvardi had simply shown up, this would all be moot. He did this to himself. His apologists are ridiculous.

Who are prior Thorny Rose recipients? I remember Charles Cherniss and Paul Little. Hardly shamed by receiving the award and riding in the parade.
Anonymous said:
According to the Pasadena Now website, Chuck Cherniss was first, then Paul Little, followed by Paul Little again, then Roy Begley, Mary Dee Romney, West Pasadena Residents Association, and the PUSD Board of Education.
