Are you serious? If La salle beat Monrovia in track since I really don't care for it anyways I'll take your word for it. Im sure the only reason why that was, was because the talent wasn't there. Alot of times kids that do basketball or football just don't feel like doing track and i cant blame them for that. I'll tell you this it wasn't because of grades trust. The sad thing is that monrovia is a fast team and if you cant admit then you're in denial and i feel actually sorry for you. i really do lol. Maybe Verbum Dei is faster, I don't know I've never seen nor heard anything about them so i can't say much. But i'll tell you this all of our star players of monrovia will be eligible for playoffs. Which includes James Davis, Sean Sparks (he's actually a friend of mine and I know for a fact that he was getting tutoring during the off season) Tyler Thompson, David Potts, A.J. Taylor,Albert Arnold. the list goes on and on. If we lose anyone before playoffs it will be due to injury not grades. I mean really how can you hate on Monrovia. With the exception of Blair, and "Big Bad LA SALLE". We tear teams up in the second half and the team that can finish most likely wins, which goes in the cats favor traxbac. The real danger is that you will be unleashed upon society with a diploma in your hand. That’s the good news…The bad news is that Monrovia is not a very fast team, or is it TC you are rooting for. Anyway…Verbum Dei is faster, but fast only counts on the track and there my duplicitous friend the Monrovia track team is woefully inept. Last season La Salle beat Monrovia’s varsity boys track team 94 to 32. But, this is not about track; this is about football and eligibility. The first eligibility period comes just before the first playoff game. On the surface, this in itself is not a reason to be alarmed, unless you are the coach of Monrovia. How much of that vaunted, speedy, and virtually unbeatable team will be eligible for the playoffs…oh well, at least you have basketball to look forward to.

52-19 monrovia my check is cashed right there, but big ups to la salle for beating verbum dei with all their players back from injury and suspensions. My question to all because i still cant answer it myself is this: Is la salle the real deal or not becuase i wanna say yes but i just dont know i mean when they played the monrovia in the second half their quarterback was starting to get hot on the playaction passes so i dunno fred maybe u can help me with this.

Philly B baby stop it! There is no doubbt about the speed Monrovia has and it's quality players and coaching, but your mouth is writing checks that your team will not be able to cash. I am sure that the Lancers are looking forward to seeing your brethren in the grid iron again.

are you la salle fan because you couldnt get into the school hmmmmm. i wonder maybe you tried out for TC but you jus werent.......how should i say athletic enough and we all you that ur too smart to be on muir's team i'll give you that but i can tell that you have no speed to be on monrovias team because im sure if you type slow you run slow the irony is that i really do ahte the rams of tc but luv st louis not the eagles(they should have paid owens) but ne ways you need to stop worrying bout the main event of tc/monrovia you need to worry bout la canada cuz their lookin at tc like they're ripe for the picking and in a sense they are i never saw a blowout coming from them and knowing how tc plays with those long ass drives tc might be on the come from behind then have a lead because they way peterson did south pas and tc barley beat them 6-0 its gonna be the mini main event this week. you dont worry bout monrovia over here we got our eye on the rams but we have to go have some titans for dinner lol trust tc will go past the 1st round of the playoffs i cant say the same for la salle i hope they dont play monrovia again because we'll be glad to give it to them once again as well

T.C. knows they should of got that game without broadnax, and broadnax feels that he owes them for that loss with all that into play i really dont think la salle has a chance plus. i believe they got their right guard back the week after so the line is strong and at full strength so im not changing my mind on this if la salle meets T.C. again in the playoffs it will be a different outcome im certain of it

How can you say that TC would beat La Salle again if they played next week. La Salle beat them with their full team and Broad did play in the second half and he did squat. Don't give me some whining saying he was injured, he wasn't TC just tried to rest him thinking LS was a push over and that was a mistake by the coaches. Howcome no one got on TC's coaches for resting Broad, because that was a mistake and La Salle made them pay for being overly confident.

Like the Cats, they have three kids on the rivals.com recruiting wire... Akeem Ayers, Reggie Dunn, and Jonathan Calhoun. Ayers at 6-3 220 is the class of the bunch... he is ranked as the #12 DE in the country... he has a verbal at UCLA.

yo philly B jus to let u no Verb has been without star players, akeem ayers best player in division, for much of this year due to injuries and suspensions. However they will all be bak in time for the La Salle game. O and Verbs weak sauce schedule only included compton, ina league that includes LAKEWOOD AND POLY!!!! o and u said camino real has never gone far in playoffs, well how bout we see monrovia play OAKS! and dont even tell me that would be a game.

Don't sleep on Verbum Dei. I know their record isn't pretty... but early in the season they were injured and playing GOOD football teams. They will come out of La Salle's league (Camino Real) with a head of steam... the rest of the division better take heed... I know Coach G and the Cats won't be surprised.

I dont know if im ready to hop on the duarte band wagon just yet. i mean i would like to go see them in a league game first, then if they have all this speed then winning league outright should be no problem for them. yeah duarte's got a lot of speed and talent but are they using that as a team to help them in the common goal of winning the game, thats the real question. lets see them play Temple city again in the playoffs. assuming that they go which im pretty sure they will. im not smelling upset in the san marino/tc game

I think we all know that u weren't at the la canada game. cuz you weren't there where we had 2 INT. for TD. our secondary was weak but not any more. and trust me when i say if tc and la salle meet again tc will win. and you brag about san marino as if they have the ultimate passing game and they do not. the only reason their quaterback is looking so efficient right now is because he hasnt played teams with speed like muir, pasdadena, arcadia,. of course their passing game is gonna look good if they havent played anyone that is fast. you know what i bet san marino and la salle (ur two favorite) teams would be a good match up. they both have no speed.Im a monrovian but show love to TC because in my mind they're the two best teams in the west san gabriel valley that are in the midvalley division. Monrovia has a weak secondary??? Did yo not see the LC game? the first couple weeks in the season we had very young corners starting because of injuries and personell issues. Last week in the LC game we had our startin DB Thompson in and he made a big difference. James Davis is the other startin corner and he doesnt play on the Deffense that much because of his reps at running back. We had 2 INTs for TDs in that game.

And the only reason you THINK San Marino is efficient in the passing game is because that havent faced a winning team yet like monrovia had.

I think MHS will do just fine in the playoffs.

I'm agreeing with the Ex Falcon on this one. although he spelled Falcon wrong. I think that Duarte has a pretty good team and could probably come in second place in the rio Hondo league. They have the speed to score and they have some of the defense it takes to stop the run. The pass is in question although I have'nt seen any really good passing teams as of late. San Marino looks good on paper, but you would expect them to score at least two td's before DuRoc gives in and they may not be possible with DuRocs offensive weapons. I said early on in these blogs that I think that Duarte could beat alot of these teams, they just need to keep playing and winning and the respect will come. If they ever were to play their A-game the pacific league would have their hands full as well.

dont misunderstand me, i've been to a few games. team like so pas and san marino would have a lot of trouble with our (duarte) speed jus dont make the mistake that your playing the same old duarte cuz you will get beat. as far as rhl we jus have to wait until the playoffs.

M-Town Fan...get real, Monrovia's defensive secondary is weak. A team with a good (not great) quarterback will light them up! The Monrovies are ripe for the picking and San Marino has the QB that can do it...Ahhhhh, excuse me...Monrovia will never win the CIF title, because someone will expose, what is up to this point, cleaverly positioned smoke and mirrors.

Du-Roc in the house!! i have much respect for the falcons BUT the statment u said about them beatin anybody in the Mid-Valley except monrovia i kinda dissagree although the falcons have great talent there are many teams in the Mid-Valley that would give them problems and personally if Duarte was apart of the RHL i dont think they will make it to playoffs. We are just too good in the West SGV

And yeah the Monrovia-Duarte game was very close in the first half, but then again wut team that MHS played that hasnt been close with the exception of La Selle and even that game was pretty close at one point. But unfortunatly you have to play 4 qrts. of football and Monrovia is well-conditioned and thatz why they are able to pull away from teams like that. SO DONT TAKE YOU CONDITIONING LIGHTLY!!!

Is that a Duarte fan checking in. Welcome, welcome, I saw the first half of the Duarte-Monrovia game and I was impressed. Feel free to weigh in and tell about the Montview League. In fact, all Montview league people are welcome on this blog. This is where we talk about Mid-Valley Division football.

All you people better watch out for DUARTE. they might be in the top 10 but they have speed and our very dangerous, i think they can compete are beat any team except monrovia in the mid valley div. it was close in the first half against monrovia and they had a lead for a hot second in the second half but monrovia was just a better team. and there on a roll right now.

To say that TC was crippled is a lot of hooey, or loser's limp. The O line was still intact and was shut out for three quarters by a much stronger well conditioned front four. like you said JUST WIN BABY!

look basically la salle is not getting any respect is because when they played T.C. they were without broadnax for the first half and the second half it was in vain because he wasnt 100%. now if he was 100% there would be a different outcome in that game but i give salle credit for upsetting a cripled temple city squad. but la salle better hope they dont have to play T.C. in the playoffs because if they do...... its gonna be payback.

Fred is correct, when U start the season ranked then lose 5 straight. You have to earn your respect. Being the underdog has it advantages. For one the other team has a hard time taking you seriously and then when you perform 'exceeding' expectations the shock from the other team with excuses. Not to mention seeing egg on the faces of the media and so-called experts.

The only real reason to be ranked is to gain seeding in the playoffs, which is definitely important. For L S I'd say just win the Camino Real and you'll have all the respect you can get.

If the season started two weeks ago, you'd have to rank La Salle in the Mid-Valley Poll.
But they did start the season with five straight losses. I realize they haven't played anyone with a losing record, but a 2-5 record is still a 2-5 record. But if they keep winning, especially this week against Verbum Dei, they deserve to be ranked.

There is no sign of La Salle in any of the polls. Talk about respect! Albeit the team did not play well in some of the preseason, as any other team there were set backs and injuries, but a sign of a good team it's the ability to improve weekly. The solid win over Temple City, whose O Line is one of the best in the Valley and the demolition of Cantwell, should be a harbinger of things to come. The real test for La Salle is this week with the visiting Verbum Dei Eagles, the other real top team in the Camino Real League. The La Salle O Line and D Line is as good as any in the Division and improving every week. They will lead the Lancers to another league title.
