Here we go again. It should be fun watching Nigel Ajere and Marcus Harvey against their old team mates. Have fun guys but kick some but.
Me too, I want to see Nigel play in his current form. I understand he has improved a lot and nobody can stop him in league. Some people think he will the MVP of the league. Good luck Nigel.
It is going to be a test of the best in the Pacific league basketball as the Bulldog meet with Arcadia today. Nigel Ajere of the Bulldog will no doubt be up to the challenge of playing aginst his old team mates. It should be fun to watch
NIGEL HAS SHOWN HIS GREAT CAPABILITIES IN PHS. YES, HE HAS PLAYED MANY WONDERFUL YEARS WITH THE ARCADIA TEAM BUT HE HAS SURPASSED THEIR TALENTS. AND IN RESTROSPECT HAD TO MOVE UP TO A TEAM LIKE PHS AND BE ONE OF THE MANY TALENTS INSTEAD OF CARRYING THE TEAM BY HIMSELF. NIGEL IS A HUMBLE YOUNG MAN WHO LOVES EVERYONE. HE WILL ALWAYS MISS HIS FRIENDS IN ARCADIA. BUT NOW HE IS WITH A NEW GROUP OF TALENTED PLAYERS AT PHS WHICH HE HAS LEARNED ALOT WITH ESPECIALLY HIS NEW COACHES, COACH TUCKER AND TONY BROOKS. I KNOW THAT THIS YOUNG MAN, NIGEL, THANKS GOD FOR ALL OF HIS BLESSINGS. KEEP UP THE GREAT AND EXCITING WORK.
Nigel has shown his awesome talent this early!!! He has won a trophy for one of the most needed players all around in his 1st tournament. This young man is definitely going to be recruited!! Keep up the great workNigel. You are such a humble, happy, entertaining player. God Bless You!!!
Nigel has shown his awesome talent this early!!! He has won a trophy for one of the most needed players all around in his 1st tournament. This young man is definitely going to be recruited!! Keep up the great workNigel. You are such a humble, happy, entertaining player. God Bless You!!!
It is a shame that so many individual's are jealous of such a talented player like Nigel Ajere. Stop writing negative comments about him and continue to be happy and pray for his success. God helps those that think positive, especially when your thoughts are for others. Let's keep it real. Nigel is one of the best basketball players around.
God Bless you!
Arcadia has great potential, but just like today during Cleveland, he had players Adderli Andrade and Francis Gandia benched. He is hurting the team, and on the inside scoop, he is hurting the Apaches more than helping
sorry meant immature - it is early! go Minutemen!
CRazyqube - check your facts - 2 years ago we beat La Salle on their court - I remember well watching our kids storm the court - and really id that is a comment made by the Coach about our name - that is just plain unmature and ridiculous.
MM BBall, I just want to share with you a small anecdote regarding the Minutemen. As Coach Steuck was preparing for the Maranatha games, which by the way were always won by La Salle, one of the players asked him why they were called the Minutemen, Steuck just replied emphatically "That's what the Cheerleaders call them", nuff said!
i went to an arcadia practice over the break and think they should finish 3rd in the pacific league... they wont be able to stop ZZ from Hoover but theyll be competitive.
watch out for arcadia this season...they beat some impressive teams during the summer that no1 thought they could beat. look for matt sommers and max matsumoto to run the point guard spot as well as jon wu who will turn some heads in the pacific league.
Hey Lancer. Maybe La Salle will schedule Maranatha to open their x-mas tourney this year. Thats gotta be fun to lose the opening game of your own tournament. AGAIN!
theres no such thing as a exciting game when it comes to maranatha vs la salle. those days are over
arcadia looks good this year and with ponce and walker joining should be a huge boost...ponce injured his ankle during practice but i heard that walker is picking on to things quick and he brings A LOT of quickness and speed to the apache offense and defense.
Adderli Andrade, Jordan Darragh, Matt Sommers, Ashton Rosemond, and Ryan Chin all will be key this year to the apaches successful season
Mr. Sandwich, I didn't know Keppel had a good hoops team. i always thought they were a Badmintion powerhouse.
Wow. I'm not sure how you could call PHS overated. This team Should be very good this year. Clearly better than everyone else on this list. If Tucker can get Ajere to buy into the team concept, they will be tough to beat.
Bulldogs are soooo over-rated. Without Austin, they're just another team. Watch Muir school them this year. their new coach is no joke
GO KEPPEL! We might not be great at football, but we can do some damagae in basketball
Go Minutemen! We are strong - and when we add the football players after we win CIF we will be unstoppable! Looking forward to the always exciting and spirited Maranatha - La Salle game.
I got the impression talking to coach Baik that he felt good about what he had coming back, despite losing Ajere. It should be between Hoover, Arcadia and Muir for second.
Arcadia doesnt have ne stand out players, with Nigel Ajere gone. they have:
Top Returnees: Adderli Andrade, Jordan Darragh, Matt Sommers, Ashton Rosemond, and Ryan Chin.
Other Returnees that play as role players are: Max Matsumoto, Francis Gandia, Jeff Kiyomura, and Andrew Tom
New Returnees: Nick Ponce and Kevan Walker
-This is a team full of seniors, but I dont' believe that each of them have enough Varsity playing time experience to make any dominance. Also, Arcadia is small across the court, Stop them from running, and they will have no threat
Arcadia is Garbage, from word around, Coach SteveBaik has been doing a poor job for the Arcadia Apaches, making Nigel leave in the first place. Look for Pasadena to dominate and teams like Muir and Hoover to compete for the Pacific League title. La Salle and La Canada both hold the correct perspective rankings. Even with the loss of pure shooter Ben Brekke, La Salle has other great shooters and post players to depend on. La Canada still has powerful force and paint dominance with Adam Malik.
Arcadia deserves a better rank. I've seen them during the summer, and they've beat such teams as Muir and La Canada, etc. I know its just the summer, but it proves something. Also, The Apaches have new players from the Football squad such as Quarterback Nick Ponce, and WR Kevan Walker. Also take note of other returnees that hope to fill the much needed guard positions at Arcadia such as Max Matsumoto, Francis Gandia, and old returner Jeff Kiyomura. With a deep bench, Arcadia proves to be more dangerous than on paper
Nigel is a great player, but remember, he did great things in Arcadia because he's been playing with those players for years even before high school. He's been playing with players such as Matthew Sommers, Ashton Rosemond, Francis Gandia, and others during junior high and even elementary. Will he be able to get that much chemistry and even, will he be able share the spotlight with other great players in Pasadena.
too bad nigel had to run out of town and go to pasadena. we all know he had to go to a team where he didn't have to be the go-to guy. he'll realize soon that he should have stayed in arcadia
I agree. Poly could do some damage this year. Not loaded with talent, but very well coached.
I think Poly is going to surpise some people.
Who is Renaissance Academy??
I can't believe La Salle's basketball team these days. I started in my senior year, I wouldn't even get to play these days. I watched them scrimmage TC last night. Maybe this is the year they finally bring it home?
Kudos to Coach Goldstein.
We'll see Fred. The Marshall kids werent responding to well to the new head coach this past summer. Not a whole lot of respect from the kids.
Who does Blair have this year to warrant a top ten ranking??
HSSB Fan, I think you're wrong about Marshall. Without Strings, and with DeLaurie bringing them to play team ball, they have more than enough talent to be dangerous...
Nice job with the rankings Fred. Although i think that Renaissance Academy should be much higher. Maybe #5. Marshall will not be good at all this year, and should be nowhere near the top ten. Thanks for all of your hard work.
