HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE

| | Comments (18) |

I wish you all a safe and happy holiday season, and remember that the Star-News All-Area football team comes out on Wednesday, and I'll post the all-league lists on Thursday.

Sorry I haven't been around much the past week, just doing my holiday shopping. Next week we'll be in full force with the La Salle/Temple City-Holiday Classic, the Flintridge Sacred Heart girls soccer tournament at the Glendale Sports complex, and keep tabs on our top boys and girls basketball teams. Pasadena will try to win the Santa Barbara boys basketball tournament for the second straight year, and the Muir girls hope to do well in the challenging Ayala tournament.

Anon,
You're right. Basketball players should realize that it is easier to get a scholarship as a 6'3 wide receiver than it is as a 6'3 small forward. Soccer players make great kickers...

My god can you guys talk about something else beside football..What about basketball... What about soccer..!

Fan,
I had heard that whisper. Interesting. I'm sure there has been other movement within the ranks. Most high schools will have SOME changes year to year. It's just too bad to have so much coordinator turnover. It's tough to establish continuity that way. I wonder if Coach Rycroft will return...I don't think he was very happy watching TC jam the ball down our throats this year. Maybe Coach Mooney will send us more of his JV staff...

BigM,
Let's just say I'm not jealous of the geography, but I do respect it. Hey, I get to spend Christmas in Monrovia!

Any inside word on the goings-on at M-Town. Yes, I am referring to football. I'll try to poke around this week and do some primary research.
