Hey Fred;
PHS boys BB will be ok once the quarks in their system is ironed out. I believe that they will win the Pacific league, CIF II AA and maybe Stateif they work hard and pass the ball. Also, Nigel Agere, their PF will be the league and CIF MVP. Go Bulldogs
Fred;
You are doing a wonderful job, especially with the article on Nigel Ajerea and how he bonded with his new team as wellas his ex team mates from Arcadia. It is refreshing to read a beautiful and positive piece now and again. We need more of this coverage for our league to encourage our players. Keep up the good work and good luck to Nigel. We will be watching you play.
Do you have proof they recruit? Do you see their coach at Junior High School basketball games talking to kids and parents? I dont think so. Kids go to that school to get out of the public school system. As a parent I know that for sure. As for graduation rates, 3 out of the 4 graduating seniors over the past 2 years have gone straight to college and one is trying to make it playing JC basketball.
RA is only a D5 school by enrollment. Every kid on there basketball team was recruited in. They have no academics and attend school only to play basketball. Check back when these kids "graduate" and see if any of them qualify into a 4 year university.
Renaissance upset the defending Divsion 2 CIF champion Colony 61-54. Big news when a Divison 5 school beats a Division 2 powerhouse. Renaissance is 15-1 now.
Anyone know who won the Marshall-Pac Hills game last night?
For some reason the Monrovia girls game on Friday didn't get in the paper. Monrovia 60 Blair 23. Ladycats keep on rolling

Hey Fred,
Where are the HS B-Ball scores on the website????
PHS sure didnt look very good at Hoover tonight. I think Tucker needs to start putting in some offensive sets. The D is always good, but with Harmon on lock down, the offense was very average.
Hoffman has the luxury of the Rio Hondo league. Would love to see La Canada switch with St. Francis and be part of the Mission League. They wont have the easy 10 wins they get year in and year out. Then we could see how great Hoffman is.
Thank God for Hoffman. He get more out his player than anyone.
Renaissance has a tough game against Division 2 powerhouse Colony on Saturday at Pierce College.
Later that night, Campbell Hall plays Taft in a battle for San Fernando Valley supremacy.
Biggest disappointment is that the Pasadena Boys and Muir girls have two outstanding teams, but no fans who want to blog about them. Seriously, what's going on? I can go back five years and recall all the complaining that we didn't do enough to cover the Muir and PHS basketball programs, and now that we cover them more than anyone, where are the fans? Where is the interest? I might as well switch our focus to the Rio Hondo League teams and private schools.
Philly, 5:30 p.m., I'm going to cover it.
