I'll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

Girls Soccer...apparently you don't understand! Poor Westridge had to play in the rain (didn't Mayfield play in the same rain) and they have already made the playoffs anyway.
Now the uncut truth...Westridge was dominated in its game before the Mayfield game and escaped with a 2-1 win anyway. Then they took a weak Mayfield team for granted and got smoked. Westridge does have a playoff spot locked, but if they don't wake up they'll be going in as a 3rd place team instead of 2nd....and that means you face a top team in the first round. But it was a nice spin attempt!

yaahh the game today wasnt the best, but to tell you the truth we are already in playoffs and today just wasnt our game. But we had a bunch of injuries and the rain was not helping, not to take away from the mayfield girls but CIF will really show whos better

Yes, Marshall girls had a decent run last year, but they had to play Maranatha which was in their League.. When they went to CIF Maranatha got the 3rd palce team and Marshall gotto play the 1st place team. But their competition is very very weak...

that Mayfield-Westridge score is hard to believe...was Westridge playing with 7 players or something?

anon...I just took a look at Marshall girls and according to Max Preps they are 10-0 after losing their first four. The schedule does leave a lot to be desired (California Academy of Math & Science?)but 10 in a row is 10 in a row.

hey someone needs to look at Marshall's Girl's Soccer Team. The are 10-4 overall and 5-0 in Delphic League Play.

SF fan, what time is the game? I'm a girls HS soccer fan, but this one sounds like a great boys game to watch. Is it played at St. Francis field? Good luck!

Everyone stop crying. I have never seen La Salle play or Maranatha play but i do know that if you want to see some good soccer then you have to come to the game tomorrow (Monday 29th) between St. Francis and Loyola.
St. Francis is 21-3 (7-1)
Loyola is 18-5-3 (7-0-1)
Winner of this game is going to win the very difficult mission league. Good luck to all the area teams but tomorrow (Monday 29th) u must all make your way to La Canada for this one. My Prediction 3-1 SF.

Tomorrow biggest game in the area. St. Francis vs. Loyola @ Friedman Field @ 5pm. All must come its gonna be a good one.

I am not trying in any way to bash LaSalle girls.. so don't be so defensive...I have a family member that is closer to those girls than you will ever know on this blog.. I know they work very hard are very competitive snd they are a nice group of girls so ease up!

Anonymous, we aren't just talking about league, we are talking about tough competition, period. And La Salle has had a very competitive schedule: D1 = Louisville, Notre Dame Sherman Oaks, Monte Vista (northern cal), Nolan Catholic (texas), Clovis and D3 power, Mayfair, plus ranked D5 teams Notre Dame academy and Marymount. Check "socalsoccer.org" for all of these results. Also, La Salle's biggest competition in years past (Sunshine league) was Marymount and Notre Dame Acad., not Marlborough. You make things up don't you? And about their new league, Bishop Montogomery is ranked in D4 and is beating everyone in league except La Salle so its still competitive until these two teams play again. Get the facts straight buddy.

Reporter, Who has been LaSalle toughest competition in the past years Marlborough....In 1998-2002 what league were they in...And they won CIF in 2002 right! If you look at the league right now LaSalle is so far in fron of all the other teams..

(they even beat Marymount 3-0!!!!). Don't post garbage if you don't know what you are talking about. And, BTW, how in the world would marantha even knw if they're the best team in D5? They haven't played any of the ranked teams in D5 yet!!!! You aren't as good as you think. I can't wait til you are really tested. I hear you are ducking a contest with La Salle...wonder why?

fair enough anonymous...let me go on record as saying I hope both La Salle and Maranatha girls win their respective divisions. And while it's a long shot, I hope the school I support wins its division too. And it plays in a different division than La Salle and Maranatha.
And Tom S, for the record, I still believe that if there are any teams in D5 that can put enough pressure on the Matanatha defense and especially its goalkeeper, the Minutement will have problems. You guys aren't as good as you think!

Do you think you can cover one of the last home games for LaSalle boys. Their League is very tight right now! No one is winning league out right! It is still up in the air....

John M you are the one that really looks foolish, because you are so serious about this stuff and complain about people praising and being ecxited about their teams... But you know what I do agree with you about Maranantha's competiton and I sort of feel the same about LaSalle, because in years past they played much more competitive teams, like Marymount, Notre Dame Academy etc... But lighten up John...Let the kids have fun and enjoy their last year of High School soccer!

Let’s see, Maranatha’s now 18 – 0 – 2, 63 point for and only 7 points against. But remember, they haven’t played anyone, have holes in their defense and will not go far in playoffs. Ya, give me a break. I predict a CIF championship for them.

Anonymous (at least make up a name!).....you obviously haven't been paying very close attention.
I've questioned both Maranatha and LaSalle's respective rankings but my most recent post that mentioned La Salle referred to its girl’s soccer team as "the class of the area." In my last post that mentioned Maranatha I wrote that its ranking was questionable because they hadn't really been challenged. So you should check your facts before you make an all encompassing statement. It really makes you look foolish.
I would love to talk more about my daughter's team but since I'm a high school soccer fan I like to give my opinion on almost everything. If I were to drone on about the team I follow every day that would be boring to everyone else. You obviously don’t get that.....and unfortunately some people don't like it when my opinion interferes with their cheerleading….and you obviously don’t get that either.

What blog have you been reading...JohnM dislike LaSalle girls and has said it in this blog many times..He has never said one positive thing about the LaSalle girls...even with their incredible record..however he does like Maranatha and has said so in this blog..He does tend to make people mad... but some say that he like to Stir things up..It would be nice to know where his daughter plays .. but he probably needs to keep that to himself because he has made people very angry. In all he has not been a very positive influence on this blog...

wrong....sometimes people take offense when you call them on their B.S. but that's cool. You are wrong about one thing, my daughter's team is not FSHA but in the neighborhood. I don't post often about that team because I can't be objective when it comes to that subject! Monrovia has overcome the loss of one of the finest female soccer players to come out of this area in recent history and is good again this year But claiming they have dominated every game is just ignorant.

Sorry, chica, i actually think JohnM is pretty good about giving credit where credit is due, even if its not his own team...(which i guess is FSHA). And he's generally not negative at all. You're way off on this one. And BTW, i think your dead wrong and Monrovia girls soccer looks incredibly weak this year.

I really think that Monrovia doesn't get enough credit, despite losing Lisa Kevorkian, Mandy Puffinburger, and Amanda Chacon. They have really stepped it up this year and have dominated every game they have played. I can't wait to see them in the playoffs!! I think once again they will go to the top. Good luck ladycats!!

honestly nick wat is wrong with this sp guy wat did u turn ur back everytime the TC defense had the sp shots on lock down only 4. and everyone gets lucky sometimes so what if they scored one...tc kept the pressure on the whole game and came back to tie they never let the intensity fall and kept fighting if they had just got the stoppage time that was supposed to happen then sp would be crying about losing and not about barely tying once tc gets them at home they wont be so lucky

Well genius, SP didnt have more than 4 shots. If you can read, look at the box score in the paper today. Temple City outshot SP 15-3. So whoever posted the comment saying SP dominated the game, i'm not exactly sure what game you were watching. I have never heard of a team dominating a game when their opponent has 5 times as many shots as them. And I've heard the i had four starters injured and two red carded excuse a million times from a million different people. Anyone with half a brain knows that is bs. Oh, one more thing - if you did outshoot TC, how come TC's goalie had only 3 saves....Just a question....

4 starters were out for a majority of the second half,two due to yellow cards one due to an injury. I dont understand what the coach was thinking.

I agree with Nick, substition is very poor. Probably that's why TC score a goal. you just can't let a player that usaully won't get much playing time in for such long time, and have 4 of your starter sitting out, lack of experience will cost goal!!

SP boys are back 1-1 tie versus temple city, but they dominated the entire game giving up a weak goal at the midway point of the second half.

....haha all i have to say is WOW! I really think the star news should send out a reporter next game. then they will really see what went on. We out shot SPas 23-4 and thats being dominated?...ok.... why dont you put a name next to that big mouth?

Congratulations to La Salle Soccer! La Salle's latest victory was over a Division I school. Now that's talent. Speaking of talent, the game before that one, Kasey Johnson hit a bullet into the net from 45 yards out. Keep up the hard work Ladies!

i dont see how blair can be ranked and SP not when SP beat them 3-2 missing 4 starters due to suspension. that makes no sense seeing as how they are 1-3 in league. i do admit that SP hasnt been the same team as of late but blair still shouldnt be ranked in the top ten. also SP is ranked in the CIF polls so they definately should be in the top ten over blair.
