Star-News/Tribune Boys and Girls All-Star Classic will be played at Azusa Pacific on April 21

Since I get a vote, I'm taking this guy in the stripes...

This is the fourth annual Star-News/Tribune boys and girls all-star game between our sister newspapers. The Star-News boys and girls own a proud 2-1 record in the series and we plan on stretching it. Don't let me down team, you don't know what it's like around Tribune Aram when he's gloating. He's still talking smack about last year's Trib boys win. How could this happen? We had Kyle Austin, Rhett Anderson and a great cast? Are you kidding me, we should of smoked them, but the Trib ran us off the floor. I can still see coach Tucker shaking his head from the stands. At least with the girls we got even. Aram kept telling me how great the east was, how great the Bishop Amat players were, blah, blah, balh. What happened, Brittany Spears toyed with all of them and the Star-News ran away with it.
Obviously this leads to the question: Who do you want on this year's team. Remember, it's a senior game only. Your nominations, please?

Keep in mind that the people who should be selected to play are leaders of their team...so where would these teams be without their presence

nigel - dominant post player, high energyy
Trevon - heart, high energy, all around guard
Torey phillips - determined lock down defender, great wing player
Troy Baugh - g/f - all round player, passioniate
Malik - stone cold wing/post player
Scott Jones - great feet work for size, overlooked post player...dominant.
Darin Nakauchi - best point guard in the area...by far
shawn benn - strong, will, solid player

these are the kids who should make it for sure....

You can not leave Krystn Jacobs and Shateah West off the STAR News girls team. First of all they go undefeated in the Rio Hondo, win the Arroyo Tournament and go 20-5 overall. The Monrovia team would be nothing without these two outstanding seniors. My starting line-up: Shateah West, Krystyn Jacobs, Joy Lelo, Emily Ballard and Jessica Wang.
Go STAR News team.

To Prep FB Realist,
You are too funny!

Hey godsway's,

You want something positive, how about this. PHS coach Tim Tucker is the best recruiter around (well since Grogan left). Look, the team lost some great seniors and he just goes over to Arcadia and picks off some of their studs -- including Mr. Ajere.

The team is supposed to be down next year, but I'm sure Tucker will find another group of convenient transfers.

Tom Hofman or Sid Cooke are coach of the Year.

darin nakauchi- amazing court vision and handles, he also plays both sides of the ball
marcus monroe- the kid can do it both inside and out
malik- dominant on both sides of the court with a nice shot as well

It is very important for everyone who comments on here to consider what they write. It has been said that if you do not have anything nice to say about someone, say nothing at all.
In conclusion as a huge supporter of the Bulldogs, I do wish all of them the very best. Coach Tucker is an awesome trainer who gives more than 100% into his young men. I predict that PHS will outdo any year this year because of Nigel Ajere being a part of this team. I must comment that this young man is awesome. I am so proud and excited to see young players like Nigel and Trevon bring the audience to all of their games. I am one of them!!!
Good luck and Blessing to the Bulldogs,

Lets focus on Nigel Ajere from PHS. He is going to come out on fire during the last championship game. His adrenaline will be high and his goal to win will high. This young man is fantastic!!

The best player and should win it all in the championship is Nigel Ajere from PHS. This young man is in a league of his own. There is no other player to compare to his future NBA level. God Bless this young man and his abilities.

ARROYO Boys Basketball was given a major lift from JEREMY MORITA... The Star-News team wishes they could have him but as Freddy told us, Arroyo is a Trib school and not a cross-over like some other schools...So instead he will tear it up for the EAST SGV, since the west wont cover him. GO KNIGHTS GO!

Darin Nakauchi, South Pasadena-really solid player, probably the best court vision of any rhl player and he makes kids fall with his fakes.
