Between me and my husband we've owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I've settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

Interesting thoughts here. I appreciate you taking the time to share them with us all. It's people like you that make my day :)

Neat blog layout! Very easy on the eyes.. i like the colors you picked out

I love the expression. Everyone needs to express there own opinion and feel free to hear others. Keep it up :)

Using the iPad as an eBook reader is comfortable to the reader as well as it is very light and thin, weighing in at 1.5 lbs at.5" thin.

When you flip on the page it gives you the same experience as touching the pages of the book except that you don't feel the paper texture.

I will be very curious to see the numbers on people who bought an iPad and also own an iPhone or iPod Touch versus those that don't.

Many reviews show that Apple iPad is the most successful mobile internet device that has been produced so far.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like 'Mixview' that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you're listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of "neighbors" will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune "Social" is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

Adding this to twitter great info.

"Luke, I am your father." What is Lavelle doing next year? Is he playing football and where? You, of all people, know the answer...

is josh parish (sp), connor berry(sp), chandler blevens (sp), paul jeong (sp), or lavelle petersen (Lc) going anywhere?

baseball fan,
Thanks for that. I really like the style of Sherman - A liitle surprised he isn't being pursued more.

Somebody needs to pull these kids aside and explain how great scholarships to four-year schools are relative to trying scratch your way through the JC process. I am still curious about the other Monrovia kids as well. What became of Lavelle Peterson?

hsfballfan,

If Hess is holding out for a Pac-10, he is not going to get it. He should have signed UT state or Wyoming and had his college paid for. He is out of touch with reality.

hess grades are not that great. he was offered a full scholorship to utah state and turned it down?! what was he thinking he's an ok player but if that is his only offer he HAS to take that.

Pasadena Poly QB Steven Sherman is still looking at a few schools like Brown. Josh Moore will be going to Wash U. Hirshman will be at Harvard.

Any update on where Pasadena Poly QB and offensive line and defensive lineman Moore are going?

ERNESTO!! common now, stop hating on this kid b/c you playd four years at gabby and didnt do anything. you're making me sad. He did a great thing by not playing his senior year and getting to play at the next level. and the SG coaches did more for him in the few months that he was there than you or ANY of his coaches at gaby did for him in 3.

Last I heard Lavelle choose the Ju-Co rout. He is going to Glendale Community College.

-Where is Broadnax going?

What's up with Kevin Hess, Arcadia?

Fred, i didn't know that high school athletes got offered scholarships without even playing their senior year
i.e San Gabriel: Ced Ho. I guess the SG coaches feel guilty for causing Ced to miss out on his senior year. Please don't tell me that this kid is really considering this
offer. It's sad to see him get screwed once but not twice.

Congratulations to everybody. I'm very proud of the Monrovia guys. Also, congratulations to Hirshman. Hopefully, I will get to see you play some special teams next year.

Anonymous, I've always liked Lance Mitchell. He's had to do too many things at Muir, but now that he's focusing on just playing safety, he's going to be an impact player.

Fred......nice article on these "signings". I was talking to a friend today and we we're wondering if you could have a regular feature or section telling us readers of news related to other collegiate / pro signings in all sports...both boys and girls. It would be nice to learn that information to follow their progress at the next level. Thanks.
