But in your opinion those aren't real sports.

Fact: UCLA is in the Final Four and USC is not.

Fact: UCLA beat USC in football this year and spoiled your National Title hopes.

That would mean UCLA has 11 and USC 0 in B-ball

and USC 11 and UCLA 1 in Football.

We're still up 12-11.

I was on the sideline for that Loyola game in '93 (as well as the next 2 games vs. Mater Dei and Pasadena).

One of the referees in that Loyola game was the referee that screwed us in that 1989 Basketball Playoff game vs. La Canada (when we lost by a point). When we saw him on the field that night, there were a few upset SF folks on the sideline that night. The bitterness lingered from that basketball game 4 years earlier.

Basketball is ok during the play-offs.

Baseball is a great sport.

I think you are right New York if i recall though it was a close game. Loyola had a kid who signed with stanford who returned a kick for a td late in the game that was the difference.

I beleive SF played and lost to Loyola during the 1993 season. The paper had a picture of an SF lineman playing fullback that game.

I am actually older then those guys brassher and kadletz were sophomores brassher was on varsity but kadletz wasnt. We stopped playing loyola my sophomore year. I believe that my team is the last one to beat loyola and that was as freshmen back in 88

You are old school SF92. You played with Fred Brasshear and Ben Kadletz and others... You were one of the last teams to play Loyola.

I did play with Aubrey. He was only our tight end as a sophomore. I believe that he ended up getting his schlorship for defense though

New York...you're right about the SC coach's meltdown. I'm all for getting your team fired up by giving the refs a hard time but you don't have a tantrum and throw junk on the floor when your down by six with a minute to go in a sweet 16 game. But it sure was fun to watch!

I'm an SC fan, but they sure crapped out tonight. Did you see their coach get T'd at the end? Was that like Hoffman? I mean, they do have similar colors...

it was a pleasure watching SC crap the bed and blow a 12-point lead in the second half and get beat easily! I hate this term but here it comes.....LOL!!!

so are you just a fan or did you go to school at UCLA? My mom went to USC and i played football with afew guys who went to school there that is why i root for them. I actually went to WSU but my Cougs flamed out in the second round. up here in washington that is what we call couging it

SFHS, no problem, and wondering if SC will still have 11 titles after the Bush investigation. Normally I root for all PAC-10 schools in the tournament, but I'm hoping SC goes down tonight. I'd hate for the Bruins to have to play them a third time in the final. I can deal with losing, but not losing in a championship to SC.

Just in case you didnt know USC has 11 National titles in football the same number of titles that UCLA basketball has go figure. No hard feelings though buddy you run an awesome blog i wish the internet was big like this when i was in high school. keep up the good work and its nice to see that two people can disagree with eachother and not have one person call the other person stupid or an idiot.

Nobody cares about the national titles in mens gymnastics and womens badminton, or frisbee golf. the only ones that matter are football and basketball maybe baseball but that is it.

so because im a usc im stupid that is brilliant. Ucla did beat sc on the field props to them. if you want to make a couple points and bash my team im cool with that but calling someone stupid over their choice of a team is absurd. Good luck pac 10 teams tonight oregon and usc. It would be sweet for 3 pac 10 teams to be in the elite 8.

UCLA has 99 National Championships as a University, most in the COUNTRY! We're going to get 100 w/ B-Ball this year.

Sorry you all choked and couldn't get a National Title in Football this year. You would think if you pay your players that you could actually win.
