Wishful, we have a game like that on April 21, and speaking of the all-star game, we will announce teams in Friday's newspaper and on this blog. I can tell that you that Tom Hofman will coach the Star-News boys and Muir's Gary Ford is coaching the girls.

Fred, how about getting your all-area players together against the other all-area teams from the ESGV and Whittier areas? Would love to see which area reigns supreme.

I think youshould leave harmon off since he was player of the year...and give it to darin and then you would be able to give one other guard recognition instead of harmon being player of the year and first team...obviously he is first team if he is player of the year...just a thought

Darin had a great season, but would you pick him over Harmon and Cook. One guy led his team to the CIF championships, and Cook led Renaissance to their third final in three years and the quarterfinals of state...It's not that Darin isn't deserving, it's that two guards ahead of him were more deserving.

Darin Nakauchi led the San Gabriel Valley in steals and assists while taking his team to the qtr finals and he only made second team?!?! Its too bad you cant change these because he definitely deserves All area first team honors.

what about darin nakauchi first team? look at the season the tigers had because of him. I think he deserves first team honors

No disrespect to Harmon, but Malik deserves at least a co-player of the year. Harmon had Ajere and Binns to support him and his team in a very sucessful season. Malik had no other dominating players and carried a much bigger load on his shoulders for the longest playoff run in the area. But congrats to both players on fantastic seasons. Good luck at the next level.

Holy crap. An all-area team that actually makes sense! (sorry, was over at the Trib site first today)

You have Justin slated as a senior, he is actually a Junior.

Trevon had a great year, but there is NO WAY Adam Malik was not at LEAST co-player of the year. Too late to re-do it but c'mon!! BTW- fred you do a great job....hi to uncle Carlos.
